CARP CARE

The most important thing, when you land a fish

( Get everything ready before the carp comes out the water )

1. Keep fish in the water or over a wet station/ unhooking mat until ready

2. Be quick when taking pictures, carp mustn't be out the water long

3. Do not squeeze the fish- cradle with two hands- one under head, one under belly

4. Do not stand with the fish

5. Return the fish to the water using a dipped weigh sling or retainer

 

BASIC FISHERY RULES

Barbed hooks are not allowed - this includes micro barbed or pinched barbed.

No surface fishing/floating baits.

No Dog Biscuits

No Artificial baits.

No spods 

No feeding meat 

No braid on the main line.

No bait boats.

No fires / No BBQ's (Gas Propane only).

Moderate loose feeding of boilies.

Each angler to supply all equipment.

Do not throw any unused baits into the pool.

Zig rigs minimum 10" under the surface.

Keep nets for contests only.

Regular checks on hooks and lines are in operation.

Dogs to be kept on a lead and cleaned up after.

Please don't allow children to run around and disturb other anglers.

Please land every fish with net and use mats or cradles to unhook.

Day anglers must be off by 7.30pm. This will obviously change as the seasons change (all other times of year off before dark).

Please use bins provided. Please keep the pathway around the outside of the pool clear - access required.

There is an on-site toilet.

Always check the board on the main car park to see if

any pegs are booked for night fishing or contests before going to a peg.
